After an epic winter spring has sprouted at Lake Sebago:
Like a bride it is wearing its new garb with elegant shyness,
Hiding her excitement but yet radiating the inner joy.
The effulgent greenery around embraces the lake tight,
Water wavelets spread out with a high precision beat –
There is an unheard music in the air.
Wary and modest after a long winter of our discontent,
We have not yet said goodbye to it –
Thinking we could go on with more of it if necessary.
Spring is gleeful but not brash,
A sigh of relief after the long greyness of winter,
Keeping alive our yearning for joy and beauty.
